An AMAYAD project
Dachimilco was designed by the Asociación Mexicana de Agrivoltaics y Agricultura Digital A.C. (AMAYAD), which owns it.
AMAYAD is also the data controller for this site: see the Privacy notice.
Why "Dachimilco"? Dacha + Xochimilco. A dacha is the Soviet-tradition country house with a garden, for growing food and getting together outside the city.

Art that generates again
Art that generates again. At the chinampa we display <em>Caminos del Sol</em> by Zachary B. Kahn, the first Second Life of Solar panel: a photovoltaic module that reached the end of its life and that an artist turned into a work of art.
Energy, art and farming live together here, and our cultural events (exhibitions, open-air cinema, music and harvest dinners) revolve around that idea: giving a second life to what already exists.

In exchange for your annual contribution, your company receives activities in this space:
- Team days (tour, workshop, fire-cooked meal).
- Workshops on chapín, urban gardening, compost and solar drying, on site or at your office.
- Ahuejote reforestation days with a photo report for your ESG reporting.
- Company-named adopted beds (1×3 m or 2×2 m) with harvest for your team.
- Mandado baskets for staff or clients.
- Cultural events and harvest dinners beside the Second Life of Solar panel.

Dachimilco is developing a small international residency program bringing together people from different countries to explore traditional chinampa agriculture, biodiversity, sustainable food systems, digital agriculture and cultural exchange.
